Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Irvine is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to assist physicians during surgical procedures by performing scrub duties under RN or physician supervision. This role emphasizes precision, teamwork, and strict adherence to sterile technique.

The successful candidate will have two years of OR scrubbing experience, graduation from an approved surgical technologist program, and active BLS certification, enabling him/her to support the surgical team and maintain patient safety

Qualifications

• Two years in the last three years of OR scrubbing experience.
• Graduate from an approved surgical technologist program.
• Certifications: NCCT Technologist in Surgery or NBSTSA Surgical Technologist.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and organizes room and equipment for procedures.
• Passes instruments and assists surgeons during operations.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and ensures a safe environment.
• Coordinates with nursing staff and discharge barriers.
