Corewell Health’s Troy Hospital seeks a Surgical Technologist II to maintain and prepare the surgical suite, manage intraoperative instruments, and uphold sterile field standards. You will support operating room teams in a fast paced environment and adapt to changing conditions during procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or equivalent training program (military, etc.) Not all schools require an associate degree Or 1 year of equivalent experience Required
• Minimum of 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience (Clinical rotations do count as experience) Preferred
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire Required

Responsibilities

• Maintain and prepare the surgical suite and sterile field.
• Intraoperative handling of instruments and equipment.
• Evaluate changing conditions during procedures and respond as needed.
• May serve as a preceptor as needed.

Education

High school diploma

Associate degree or equivalent

Completion of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or equivalent training program

Minimum of 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience

AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
