Job summary

Corewell Health's Trenton Hospital in Michigan seeks a part-time Surgical Technologist II to maintain and prepare the surgical suite, handle instruments intraoperatively and preserve the sterile field during procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma, an accredited surgical technology education, at least 1 year of experience, and BLS certification within 90 days. This position reports to the Operating Room team at Trenton Hosp.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or equivalent training program required.
• Minimum of 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and prepare the surgical suite and intraoperative handling of instruments.
• Maintain the sterile field and respond to changing conditions during procedures.
• Serve as a preceptor as needed.
