Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technologist Program and/or Certified Surgical Technologist designation (AST or NCCT).
• Certified Surgical Technologist designation.
• Technologist in Surgery-Certified.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) required.
• Must be able to take call shifts as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the OR (instruments, equipment, supplies) and assist surgeons and nurses by passing instruments.
• Maintain the sterile field, count items, and handle specimens.
• Assist with patient positioning and wound dressing preparation.
• Ensure equipment is functioning and assist with turnover and room readiness.
• Assist with OR cleaning and restocking between procedures.
