Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or TS-C required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Must be able to take call shifts as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the OR: instruments, equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Assist surgeons and nurses by passing instruments and maintaining the sterile field.
• Count sponges, needles and instruments; handle specimens as directed.
• Assist with patient positioning and maintain sterile technique throughout cases.
• Ensure equipment is functioning and report any issues to the director.
