Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to perform scrub duties and support patient care in a fast-paced operating room. The role requires graduation from a Surgical Technology program and a valid BLS certification.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Scrub role duties with increasing patient-care responsibilities under RN supervision.
• Collaborates with licensed staff to support surgical procedures across patient age groups.
• Performs patient care tasks and monitoring in the sterile environment.

Responsibilities:

Performs necessary duties in scrub role. Takes on greater responsibility in providing patient care demonstrating a higher level critical thinking and problem solving skills. Functions in partnership with licensed staff. Performs patient care duties for clients of various age groups under the direction of a registered nurse.

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program Required

Work Experience

• 3 years Certification as a Surgical Technologist or of surgical tech experience Required

Additional Licenses and Certifications

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist Preferred
• BLS certification Required
