Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support operating room teams in a scrub role and provide high-quality patient care. The position requires teamwork with licensed staff and adherence to sterile technique under RN supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a Surgical Technology program background, HS diploma or GED, and BCLS certification. CST certification is preferred to enhance OR readiness and collaboration with surgeons.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Surgical Technology program required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist required or 3 years of surgical tech experience.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire required.
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties and assists in patient care as part of the surgical team.
• Works in partnership with licensed staff under RN direction to support procedures.

Responsibilities

Performs necessary duties in scrub role. Takes on greater responsibility in providing patient care demonstrating a higher level critical thinking and problem solving skills. Functions in partnership with licensed staff. Performs patient care duties for clients of various age groups under the direction of a registered nurse.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program Required

Work Experience

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist Required or
