Mass General Brigham is seeking a Surgical Tech II to join our fast-paced operating rooms at 90 Blossom Street. This full-time role supports a wide range of surgical services across multiple specialties.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of acute care experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and CST certification preferred. The position offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of surgical technologist experience in acute care required.
• NBSTSA CST certification preferred.
• Knowledge of SPD sterile room and sterile processing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Participates in time-out procedures.
• Attainment of extra supplies and equipment as needed.
• Sets up equipment independently.
• Participates as an active member of the Patient Care Team.
• Monitor and continually assess operating room conditions, including patient and surgical team needs.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning on the operating table and covering them with sterile surgical drapes to prevent exposure.
• Knowledge of SPD Sterile Room.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Work Experience

Experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting - 2-3 years - required

Four (4) years experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting; committee and leadership experience - 3-5 years -preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of SPD Sterile Room
• Ability to multitask, can work in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Advanced knowledge of sterile processing procedures and policies
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
