Job summary

El Camino Health in Mountain View is seeking a Surgical Tech II for Day shift (0.9 FTE) in the Operating Room 2A East. You will support the surgical team, prepare instruments, and help maintain a safe operative environment.

Under supervision of surgeons and nurses, you will assist with planning, sterilization, and aseptic technique to ensure patient safety and efficient procedures during invasive operations.

Qualifications

• Accredited surgical technologist course completed or military equivalent.
• Two years' experience in an acute care hospital.
• Ability to communicate in English and perform reading/writing.
• Able to prioritize, organize, and work under stress.
• Knowledge of disinfection, sterilization, and aseptic technique.
• Understand and operate within legal limits of the position.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the clinical nurse to plan and evaluate surgical patient care.
• Assist physicians, surgeons, and RNs to ensure safe, efficient procedures.
• Maintain safe OR environment and ensure equipment functions properly.
• Support sterile technique and patient safety throughout procedures.
