Job summary

Prisma Health in South Carolina is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in care before, during, and after surgical procedures. You will perform scrub duties, maintain aseptic technique, and support the operating room team with instrument handling and specimen care.

Requires completion of a Surgical Technology program and CST/TS-C certification as applicable; no prior experience required. Day shift, Parkridge/Baptist Parkridge Hospital, Operating Room department.

Qualifications

• Education - Surgical Technology program or Surgical Technologist training in the U.S. Armed Forces.
• Experience - No previous experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures as scrub team member and maintain aseptic technique.
• Prepare for procedures by collecting supplies and instruments per Surgeon Preference Card.
• Set up Operating Room and arrange instruments and supplies for each case.
• Assist during operations: maintain instrument counts, care for specimens, handle drugs under RN direction.
• Clean and re-prep rooms between procedures and at day end; store unused supplies properly.
