Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the team in Augusta. The role involves scrub duties and increasing responsibility in patient care under supervision of licensed staff and a registered nurse.

Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma or GED, graduate of a Surgical Technology program, and a current BCLS certification; CST is preferred and at least 3 years of surgical tech experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Surgical Technology program required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist required.
• Three years of surgical tech experience required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required on hire.
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs necessary duties in scrub role. Takes on greater responsibility in providing patient care demonstrating a higher level critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Functions in partnership with licensed staff. Performs patient care duties for clients of various age groups under the direction of a registered nurse.
