Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech First Assist to support surgeons and nurses in the operating room, preparing equipment and maintaining aseptic technique.

The role requires an Associate's degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology, current CST/ NBSTA/ NCCT certification, and one year of experience. BLS is preferred. Mercy Health offers competitive pay, benefits and education support.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology (required).
• One year of experience as a Surgical Technologist (required).
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT certification (required).
• BLS certification preferred at hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and nurses in the OR and prepare supplies.
• Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique.
• Perform instrument counts with the circulator RN and hand instruments.
• Retrieve specimens and report implants and devices to the team.
