Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech – First Assistant to join a collaborative perioperative team. You will work side-by-side with surgeons providing advanced intraoperative technical support across a variety of procedures.

The role requires two years OR experience, HS diploma or GED, and a Certified Surgical First Assistant within 90 days of hire. BLS certification is required; CST preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of Operating Room experience preferred.
• Certified Surgical First Assistant within 90 days of hire/transfer.
• Maintain BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides exposure and visibility of the surgical field and assists as directed.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
