Job summary

ProMedica Wildwood Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital in Toledo, OH is seeking a Surgical Tech First Assistant to support surgeons in the operating room. You will help with exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other intraoperative tasks while maintaining a sterile field and preparing cases with appropriate supplies.

This role offers a leadership pathway as a preceptor for new staff and students, and requires CST program graduation, 3 years OR experience, and active CST certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Certified Surgical Technologist program.
• Must maintain CST certification with continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons with exposure, hemostasis, and closure during operations.
• Maintain sterile field and ensure appropriate supplies for each case.
• Prepare surgical cases and act as a preceptor for new staff.
