Job summary

You will help with patient positioning, surgical prep, instrument handling, and post-procedure cleanup under supervision. CPR certification and strong public interaction skills are required, with the trainee not participating in medication management.

Qualifications

• Senior professional surgical technologist student currently enrolled in an accredited program.
• CPR Certification.
• Must have experience with effectively dealing with the public.

Responsibilities

• Set up operating room with supplies and equipment.
• Assist with patient positioning and surgical prep.
• Maintain sterile field during procedures.
• Pass instruments, hold retractors and facilitate case turnover.
• Post-procedure instrument care and equipment maintenance.
