Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to support operating room procedures in Fall River, MA. You will prepare the OR, set up instruments, perform counts, and ensure all equipment is sterile and functioning properly.

Responsibilities include assisting the circulating nurse, handling instrumentation, and maintaining sterile fields throughout procedures while adhering to safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; graduation from an accredited school of surgical technology required.
• Certification/Licensure: CST required, BLS required.
• One or more of the following: has completed a military program in surgical technology or completed an accredited educational program and CST certification within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and instrumentation for surgical procedures.
• Perform surgical counts and maintain sterile field.
• Prepare and turnover the OR, instrument processing, and endoscopy equipment.
• Assist in room turnover and supply handling.
• Adhere to safety and infection control policies.
