Job summary

Description:The CVOR CST position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience.Candidates must have Level 1 Trauma Experience.The shift hours for this position are from 06:00 to 16:30.This is a contract position for a duration of 13 weeks.On-call duties will be required after shift hours, particularly on Fridays and Sundays during scheduled weeks.Candidates will be expected to take call at least two days per week and 1-2 weekends every six-week schedule, based on operational needs.Facility policy allows for one shift to be called off every two weeks.First-time travelers will not be accepted for this position.Candidates must have completed the necessary certifications before applying.Travel pairs and trios are welcome.Clinical skills required include CVOR experience and First Assist roles in various cardiovascular procedures.Average case load includes about three hearts per day.Floating to other units based on census may be required.Staff may be floated to other areas where they are qualified and trained.This role entails participating in advanced cardiovascular surgical procedures.All additional skills, such as safety protocols and compliance measures, should be exemplified.Team members will need to demonstrate competencies prior to performance in floating assignments.Candidates must have EMR experience, with a minimum of one year required.Compliance with hospital policies and protocols is expected.
