Job summary

Cynet Health seeks a Surgical Tech - CVOR CST for a 13-week assignment in our CVOR. You will support complex cardiovascular procedures, maintain a 1:1 patient ratio, and operate in Cerner Surginet with orientation from a preceptor.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years of surgical tech experience, BLS-certified, and the COVID vaccine. Weekend call and some night coverage are included, with shifts primarily 10 hours long.

Description:The ratio of surgical techs to patients is 1 to 1.The electronic medical record system used is Cerner Surginet.The charge nurse reports to the Clinical Supervisor.There is also an OR Director and an OR manager.There are OR Techs available.Weekend requirements are covered by call.Holidays are also covered by call.Call is required 1 to 2 weeknights per week.Weekend call is approximately once a month from the end of shift Friday to 6:30 am Monday.Scrubs are provided.Television equipment is Phillips.Ventilators are available.There is no hospitalist or intensivist in house.Respiratory therapy is available 24/7.Pharmacy services are available 24/7.Shifts available include 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts.Mid-shifts start at either 9 am or 10:45 am.There is no floating required.There is one shift of floor-specific orientation with a preceptor.Common diagnoses and types of patients include CABG, valve procedures, pacers, lead extractions, and lung cases.The cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during the 13-week assignment and 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks.Charting is done using Cerner.
