Job summary

Herzing University is seeking a Faculty Clinical Coordinator for Surgical Technology. The role ensures designated clinical preceptors and maintains documentation to meet accreditation standards.

The coordinator develops orientation programs, monitors site compliance, and teaches clinical and lab courses. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in OR scrub or surgical technology instruction, strong communication, and knowledge of CAAHEP standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in related discipline is required.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology education program.
• Credential in surgical technology through NCAA-accredited program is required or preferred.
• At least 3 years of OR scrub or surgical technology teaching experience in the last 5 years.
• Strong presentation and communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of programmatic accreditation and CAAHEP standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of profession trends and accreditation requirements.
• Identify and monitor clinical sites; maintain site selection criteria and contracts.
• Visit clinical sites at least once per rotation to ensure quality experiences.
• Develop clinical schedules and evaluate student learning experiences.
• Place students for practicum and internship assignments.
• Advise program administrator on industry trends and site availability.
