The Clinical Coordinator – Surgical Technologist at College-of-Healthcare-Professions will oversee clinical affiliations, coordinate rotations, and supervise students in clinical settings, while maintaining records of the education component.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree required.
• Currently certified as a Surgical Technologist from National Certification program accredited by the (NCCA).
• Minimum of four years’ experience as a surgical technologist.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintains clinical affiliations at facilities for clinical and externship.
• Coordinates schedules for clinical rotations and faculty assignments.
• Mentors and monitors clinical faculty.
• Collects records and reports, retains case logs, and clinical evaluations.
• Ensures students meet clinical affiliate requirements for rotations.
• Maintains a formal grade book or electronic record backup and security.
• Reports academic progress of students and submits final grades to PD/Registrar.
• Attends mandatory faculty meetings and training activities.
• Maintains continuing education and professional growth documentation.
• Ensures compliance with state, federal, institutional, and programmatic regulations.
• Adheres to academic policies/procedures for compliance.
• Assist with student advising.
• Assist Director of Education/Education Coordination with administrative functions.
• Other duties as assigned.
