Job summary

The State of Georgia is seeking a Surgical Technician Clinical Coordinator to lead the Surgical Technology degree program across multiple campuses. You will design curricula, instruct in a mix of on-campus, online, and hybrid formats, and participate in college committees and accreditation activities.

You will also recruit and advise students, manage budgets, and contribute to program assessment, ensuring compliance with ARC/STSA/CAAHEP standards and NBSTSA credential requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university.
• Current CST credential through NBSTSA.
• Minimum of two years of full-time clinical experience in surgical technology in an operating room.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, aseptic technique, patient safety standards, and operating room protocols.

Responsibilities

• Teaches program-specific courses in classroom/lab/online settings.
• Evaluates student progress and provides advisement.
• Works with the Associate Dean to create course schedules.
• Ensures safety and security requirements in the discipline and supports maintenance of equipment.
• Develops program curriculum, syllabi, and learning outcomes; aligns with state standards.
• Oversees program budget and procurement for supplies and equipment.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university

Current CST ( NBSTSA ) credential

Minimum of two years of full-time clinical surgical tech experience

Knowledge of surgical procedures, aseptic technique and OR protocols
