Job summary

Wiregrass Georgia Technical College seeks a Surgical Technology Clinical Adjunct Instructor to provide classroom and clinical instruction and supervise students in health care facilities and in skills labs. The instructor will direct, evaluate, and report student progress toward course objectives and pursue ongoing formal training to maintain instructional capabilities.

Travel to multiple clinical sites within the 11-county service area is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an education program in surgical technology accredited by a national programmatic accreditation agency.
• Credential in Surgical Technology through a national certification program accredited by the NCCA.
• Minimum of two years related work experience in the past five years.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and clinical instruction and supervision of Surgical Technology students in health care facilities and in skills lab.
• Direct, evaluate, and report student progress toward course objectives.
• Pursue ongoing formal training to upgrade instructional capabilities.
• Assist in recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts; ensure safety and security requirements are met.
• Travel to multiple clinical sites within the 11 county service area.
