North Atlantic Surgical Suites, located in Salem, NH, is seeking a full-time Surgical Technologist. The role emphasizes maintaining a sterile field and supporting the surgical team during procedures.

The ideal candidate has an OR background as a Scrub Tech, CST and BLS certifications, and a completion of a Scrub Technician program. Schedule features 10-hour shifts with no weekends or major holidays. A sign-on bonus up to $2,500 is available.

Responsibilities

• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeon during procedures.
• Maintain sterile field throughout operations.
• Count surgical sponges and sharps before and after procedures.
• Stock rooms and assist with daily departmental tasks.

North Atlantic Surgical Suites is hiring a full time Surgical Technologist

Eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500

Job Summary:

The Surgical Technician is responsible for ensuring proper care and use of surgical instruments. Anticipates the needs of the surgical team. Establishes and maintains sterile field during surgical procedures in the operating room.

May perform any of the following duties with the goal of preparing the room and the patient for the surgical procedure:

• Setting up the instruments and equipment that is required for the procedure
• Sterilizing equipment and taking an inventory to ensure there are enough supplies for surgery
• Preparing the patient for surgery
• Passing the Surgeon instruments and sterile supplies throughout the operation
• Taking a count of all surgical sponges and sharps prior to the operation
• Recounting surgical instruments and supplies at the end of the operation
• Maintaining an overall sterile environment throughout the surgery
• Stocking rooms, picking supplies for cases, assisting with departmental daily tasks.

No Weekends/No Major Holidays/No Call Required

Schedule:10 hour shifts

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma / GED; completion of a Scrub Technician Certification Program.
• 1-2 years of operating room experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties, including Ortho.
• CST & BLS Certification.
