A leading healthcare provider in Omaha is seeking Certified or Non-Certified Surgical Technologists to prepare operating rooms for surgery and assist in delivering exceptional cardiac care. Responsibilities include managing surgical specimens, demonstrating anatomical knowledge, and anticipating surgical events. The position offers up to $5,000 in sign-on bonuses and $7,000 in education assistance with a competitive pay range of $23.11 to $34.38 per hour.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program required.
• Certification in Surgical Technology preferred but not required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room for surgical procedures.

• Handles and processes surgical specimens according to established policy.

• Prepares the operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring the equipment is functioning properly and safely
• Prepares the operating room and the sterile field for surgical procedures by preparing sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment using sterile technique
• Demonstrates knowledge of human anatomy and pathophysiology and how it relates to the patient and surgical procedure
• Anticipates usual and unexpected events during the surgical procedure and responds in an efficient manner
• Handles and processes surgical specimens according to established policy/procedure
• Serves as a preceptor in training and orientation of fellow staff members and students

Job Requirements

Pay Range
