Job summary

Liberty Hospital is seeking a Surgical Support Service Tech to ensure timely access to supplies and instrumentation for the Perioperative Services team. You will assist with patient transfers, communicate with the care team, and maintain organized inventory to support efficient surgical cases.

The role emphasizes high service standards, collaboration with anesthesia, and adherence to safety and decontamination guidelines. Monday–Friday, no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification within 60 days of hire.
• Respirator fit testing required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient transfers and communicates with patients using high service standards.
• Communicates with health care team regarding room needs and follow-up by intraoperative staff.
• Stock emergency, specialty, and routine supplies to ensure accessibility for patient care.
• Maintain organized inventory to support the health care team.
• Participate in projects and perform duties assigned by Surgical Support Services leadership.
• Partner with anesthesia services to ensure access to required supplies.
• Decontaminate rooms and department per guidelines.
• Pull supplies and instruments to prepare for cases with quality control.
• Provide resources to staff during surgical cases to minimize interruptions.
• Follow processes for acquiring, storing, and handling surgical equipment.
