Job summary

Liberty Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the CVOR Days shift on a full-time basis at Liberty Hospital. The role requires assisting during surgical procedures, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting the surgical team to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities include preparing the OR, passing instruments, and participating in counts, with focus on patient comfort and procedural efficiency. Certification or related degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Certificate or Associate’s Surgical Tech degree or 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience in lieu of the degree.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room for surgical procedures and ensures equipment is functioning safely.
• Provides surgical assistance and maintains the sterile field during procedures.
• Performs instrument, sponge, and suture counts with a registered nurse circulator.
• Maintains sterility and safety while assisting the surgical team.
• Contributes to patient care and post-operative dressing and transfer as needed.
