Job summary

Liberty Hospital is seeking a Surgical Support Services Technician to ensure timely access to surgical supplies and instrumentation, assist in patient transfers, and provide high-level service to the Perioperative Services team.

You will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and staff to support case preparation, room setup, and efficient operations, while following safety and decontamination guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient transfers and communicates with patient using high service standards/behaviors.
• Communicates with the health care team about room needs and follow-up by intraoperative team.
• Maintains stocking of emergency and specialty supplies for patient care needs.
• Keeps inventory organized and accessible for the health care team.
• Partners with anesthesia services to ensure access to required supplies for patient care.
• Performs room and department decontamination per guidelines.
• Pulls supplies and instruments to prepare for cases with quality control.
• Provides resources to staff during surgical cases to minimize interruptions.
