Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking an OR Tech to support perioperative services in our Illinois facility. You will assist with room turnover, sterile supply management, and case cart preparation under RN supervision, while ensuring patient safety and sterile technique.

Ideal candidates have a High school diploma, BLS certification, and experience scrub nursing in the perioperative setting. The role includes daily patient care activities and collaboration with surgeons, nurses, and staff to

Qualifications

• BLS Certification.
• Cooperative work attitude toward and with co-employees, management, patients, visitors and physicians, and ability to communicate with others effectively and respectfully.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in the perioperative setting scrubbing and assisting under the supervision of surgeon, PA/RNFA and RN.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operating room turnover and clean surgical equipment per standards of practice.
• Restock and stock supplies in peri-anesthesia and perioperative areas.
• Assist with patient positioning, lifting and transferring in the perioperative area and in PACU.
• Participate in staff meetings and communicate pertinent information to the assigned nurse.
• Maintain universal precautions, infection control and adherence to facility policies.
