Northwell is seeking a hospital materials technician to support the operating room by maintaining surgical implants and supplies and by processing orders for implants and related items. You will verify deliveries against purchase orders and ensure proper storage and tracking in the department system.

This role also involves assisting with case schedules, preparing case carts, entering patient supply profiles, and recording charges.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.

• Transports and stores items in appropriate locations.
• Enters implant tracking serial numbers into department computer system.
• Assists in reviewing daily case schedule and pick lists and prepares case carts accordingly.
• Enters each patient’s surgical supply profile in department computer system.
• Captures and records surgical supply charges for all surgical cases.
• Identifies and corrects implant and supply discrepancies, as needed.
• Maintains constant communication with Purchasing, Materials Management, and related departments.
