Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Perioperative Attendant to support surgical teams at St. Francis Downtown. You will help with room setup, turnover between cases and assist with patient positioning, transfers, and sterile holds under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include restocking supplies, maintaining equipment, transporting patients, and performing point-of-care testing as needed. A high school diploma and BLS are required or pursued, with perioperative experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care).
• One-year perioperative experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Set up and turnover of surgical suites, ensure clean/ orderly OR space.
• Assist with patient positioning, lifting, transfers and sterile holds as needed.
• Restock supplies and maintain anesthesia/surgical linens; monitor oxygen tanks as needed.
• Set up and store equipment and positioning devices; report any issues.
• Transport patients between departments and obtain clean beds as required.
• Respond to requests and run errands within department operations.
• Perform patient POCT and daily quality control checks on POCT devices.
