Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Perioperative Attendant at Mary Immaculate Hospital to support surgical teams. The role involves assisting with patient care, room turnover, and equipment setup under RN guidance to ensure efficient perioperative services.

Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent); BLS is preferred. One year of perioperative experience is desired. Excellent teamwork and attention to detail are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire)
• One-year perioperative experience (preferred)
• Basic reading, writing, or arithmetic skills; able to operate basic equipment

Responsibilities

• Performs daily set-up of the surgical suites and room turnover between cases, maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
• Assists with patient positioning, lifting and transfers; performs sterile holds as needed.
• Restocks and maintains supplies and linens for surgery and/or anesthesia.
• Sets up equipment and positioning devices; reports damaged or missing equipment.
• Transports patients between departments; ensures clean inpatient beds when needed.
• Performs patient POCT and daily quality control checks on POCT devices.
