The Nursing Assistant at UCI Health supports professional nursing staff by performing vital sign checks, assisting with hygiene and elimination, and keeping the unit clean and safe. You may also stock supplies, operate hospital equipment, perform clerical tasks, and assist with other duties as assigned.

You may be required to float between the Orange and Irvine locations; candidates should have basic medical terminology knowledge, English proficiency, current BLS, and relevant CNA/LVN training

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Certified Nurses Assistant, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or enrolled in accredited nursing program with clinical experience.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in a therapeutic way.
• Experience in patient care, preferably in an acute care setting.
