Job summary

UCI Health in Orange County seeks a Nursing Assistant to support patient care by taking vital signs, assisting with hygiene, and maintaining a clean, safe unit. You will also stock supplies, operate hospital equipment as directed, and perform routine clerical tasks while adhering to safety and clinical policies.

This on-site position requires flexibility to float between Orange and Irvine locations and ongoing compliance with organizational training and certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology
• Must read, write and speak effectively in English
• Must be Certified Nurses Assistant, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or enrolled in accredited nursing program with completion of at least 1 clinical semester
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in a therapeutic way
• Demonstrated patient care experience, preferably in an acute care setting
• Current BLS certification upon hire (issued by the AHA)
• Approved workplace violence responder training program within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter
• Ability to work weekends and holidays
