Job summary

UC Irvine Health seeks a Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff in patient care at the hospital campuses. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with hygiene and elimination, and maintaining a clean, safe unit environment.

You will also help stock supplies, operate hospital equipment as directed, perform routine clerical tasks, and support other duties as assigned to ensure smooth patient flow across Orange and Irvine locations.

Qualifications

• Basic medical terminology knowledge.
• Must float between the Orange and Irvine locations.
• Must read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.), Licensed Vocational Nurse (L.V.N.), or enrolled in an accredited nursing program with at least 1 clinical semester.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs.
