Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license.
• American Heart Association BLS required.
• ACLS required only if telemetry monitoring is used.
• Mandatory Reporter training within three months of hire.
• High language, intermediate to high math, strong critical thinking.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessment of new admissions within 30 minutes of arrival.
• Develop outcome-based care plans with nursing interventions.
• Coordinate and delegate care among nursing staff.
• Implement care plans and document orders and education provided.
• Collaborate with Case Manager and other disciplines for discharge planning.
• Reassess patient progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with physicians, patients, and families.
• Ensure safety and adherence to policies and procedures.
