• Degree from an accredited school of nursing; bachelor degree preferred.
• Completion of general and nursing orientation.
• Completion of unit orientation and unit-specific competency checklist.
• Professionalism in interpersonal communication with patients, families and colleagues.
• Certifications as required by the unit/area.
• Annual competency-based learning modules (CBLs).
• Excellent communication with physicians, patients, families and colleagues.
• Assess patient on admission and ongoing.
• Plan and coordinate care based on patient status.
• Involve family in the plan of care as desired by the patient.
• Initiate individualized teaching on admission for positive outcomes.

Responsabilidades

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate per the nursing process.
• Direct, delegate and coordinate nursing care provided by LPN, CNA, and Unit Clerk.
• Assess and monitor patient condition; document data.
• Plan and coordinate care with ongoing assessment and needs.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve outcomes.
• Initiate and verify physician orders; administer medications per policy.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethics.
