Qualifications

• Florida RN license or eligible to practice in Florida.
• Completion of general and nursing orientation.
• Unit orientation and unit-specific competency checklist completed.
• Strong interpersonal communication with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Unit-specific certifications as required by the unit.
• Annual competency-based learning modules completed.
• Excellent communication with physicians, patients, families and colleagues.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care per nursing process.
• Direct and coordinate care with LPN, CNA, and other staff.
• Assess patient on admission and monitor ongoing status.
• Document assessment data on admission and ongoing.
• Involve family in the plan of care as desired by patient.
• Initiate individualized teaching and patient education.
• Administer medications according to established policies.
