Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a Manager of Surgical Services at the Freeman West Campus to provide leadership for the PAAC, Preop, OR, and PACU. You will drive operational excellence, patient experience, and quality outcomes under the Director of Perioperative Services in a fast-paced perioperative setting.

The role requires an MO RN license (or compact state license) and a track record in healthcare leadership, process improvement, and team engagement.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current RN license from a compact state.
• If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, direct, coordinate, and evaluate surgical care operations across PAAC, Preop, Main OR, and PACU.
• Lead change management initiatives to support strategic and operational priorities.
• Champion continuous process improvement using evidence-based practices and data-driven decision making.
• Identify and lead multidisciplinary improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience, quality outcomes, and staff engagement.
• Develop and monitor KPIs related to patient experience, quality outcomes, financial stewardship, and operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, nursing leadership, and ancillary departments to redesign processes that improve access, flow, and service excellence.
