Job summary

Mark Twain Medical Center in San Andreas, CA, is seeking a Clinical Supervisor of Surgical Services to coordinate daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting.

You will serve as a liaison between hospital leadership, physicians, and families, enforce policies, manage budget and staffing, and step in to provide direct patient care when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field required.
• Active California RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certificates required.
• 1–3 years of surgical service line nursing experience in acute care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations, scheduling, and staffing for the surgical services department.
• Supervise and educate department staff and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Develop and maintain department policies, budgets, and resource management.
• Mentor staff, provide educational resources, and manage shift reports.
• Act as liaison between hospital leadership, physicians, and families; ensure timely patient care.
