Job summary

High Point Medical Center, part of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, seeks an experienced Nurse Manager for the Surgery Department. This perioperative leadership role oversees about 10 operating rooms and 90 direct reports, guiding clinical operations, staff development, and budget management to ensure high-quality patient care.

CNOR certification is strongly preferred, and the nurse will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize the Care Delivery Model and safety outcomes.

Qualifications

• MSN or Masters in related field and six years' nursing experience with four years in healthcare management required.
• CNOR certification is strongly preferred.
• RN licensure in the state; BCLS required; ACLS within 1 year for Adult Critical Care/Adult ED; PALS within 1 year for Network ED, Peds ED, PICU/NICU per unit guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and clinical leadership to support OR efficiency and project execution.
• Oversee staff scheduling and budget management.
• Collaborate across departments and with providers to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Develop and monitor governance, safety, and care delivery standards.
• Mentor nurses and ensure continuing education and credentialing.
