Job summary

High Point Medical Center in North Carolina seeks an experienced nursing leader to join its Surgery Department, a dynamic perioperative environment with 10 operating rooms and robotic technology.

The Nurse Manager will provide operational and clinical leadership to support OR efficiency, staff scheduling, and budget management, supervising about 90 direct reports and collaborating with staff and providers to sustain a high-performing surgical services team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; MSN or Masters in related field.
• Six years' nursing experience with four years in related healthcare management.
• RN licensure in the applicable state; BCLS required; ACLS within 1 year of hire; PALS within 1 year for designated areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to staff to meet short and long-term goals, ensure orientation and ongoing professional development.
• Collaborate across the organization, communicate effectively, and serve as a resource to staff and other departments.
• Coordinate nursing care with other disciplines and ensure quality and safety of care delivery.
• Promote a culture of safety and monitor performance improvement metrics.
• Oversee budget and staffing allocation; manage workload based on credentialing and experience.
