Job summary

Trinity Health in New York State is seeking a Clinical Educator to design, implement, and evaluate nursing education programs and new-hire orientation. This role drives staff development, mentors nurses, and leads quality improvement initiatives in a hospital setting.

The ideal candidate holds an active NY RN license and a Master’s degree in nursing (or is actively enrolled). Four years of nursing experience, with OR or PACU exposure, plus teaching background, are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse in New York with current licensure.
• Master’s in nursing or enrolled in a program is required.
• Minimum four years of nursing experience, recent OR or PACU practice.
• Recent formal and informal clinical teaching experience.
• Keeps up to date with continuing education and develops expertise.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate, communicate and facilitate clinical education and orientation.
• Prepare, deliver and supervise clinical education across areas of expertise.
• Maintain proficiency and support staff skill development.
• Assist with ongoing competency and preceptor education.
• Advise on best practices and standards of care.
• Monitor quality metrics for the department.
• Ensure care aligns with NYS and national standards.
