Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing (preferably in Nursing Education).
• 4+ years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Current NYS RN licensure (or willingness to obtain).
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess individual and collective learning needs of nursing staff.
• Develop course curriculums and lesson plans based on learning needs assessments.
• Evaluate staff competencies regularly.
• Provide clinical mentorship and career guidance as needed.
• Lead, plan, implement, and evaluate educational programs for nursing staff.
• Participate in unit-based huddles and clinical rounds to change practice at the bedside.
• Focus on clinical support for new graduate and recently hired nursing team.
