Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant certification is required; CPR/BLS may be required.
• Strong computer skills and ability to work with medical software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs and recording chief complaints.
• Assist providers with exams and minor procedures; perform phlebotomy and EKGs as needed.
• Coordinate referrals, prescriptions, and scheduling for tests and treatments.
• Provide clerical support and maintain medical records for billing purposes.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and proper infection control; restock supplies.
