Montrose Regional Health, a not-for-profit hospital accredited by the Joint Commission, seeks a Service Line Director of Surgical Services in Montrose, CO. You will lead strategic and operational objectives for Surgical Services, coordinating the OR, pre-op, PACU, and related teams for adults and children, while shaping policies to support clinical practice.

You will drive budget, staffing, and patient care quality, ensuring alignment with Mission, Vision, and Values in a dynamic health system

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a registered nurse degree and a current Colorado license.
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, preferably in acute care or surgical services; progressive management experience required; BLS required upon hire; ACLS or ENPC/PALS required within 9 months of hire and current thereafter.
• Encompasses a wide range of nursing, psycho-social and medical information which includes nursing process, communications and problem-solving, assessment and prioritizing skills.

Responsibilities

• The Service Line Director of Surgical Services leads strategic, growth, budgetary and operational objectives for the Surgical Services department.
• Functions as the head of the Surgical Services leadership team and coordinates the healthcare team in OR, pre-op, same day surgery, PACU, pain clinic, infusions, GI suite, pre-admission testing and scheduling for adult and pediatric patients.
• Develops and implements policies, procedures and systems that support the clinical practice in the department and ensures care aligned with the organization's Mission, Vision and Values.
