Job summary

Montrose Regional Health in Montrose, CO seeks a Service Line Director of Surgical Services to lead strategic, growth, budgetary and operational objectives for the department, coordinating the health care team across OR, pre-op, same-day surgery, PACU and related areas.

The role requires RN with Colorado license, 3+ years leadership in acute or surgical settings, and progressive management experience, with mandatory certifications (BLS now; ACLS/ENPC/PALS within 9 months).

About The Career:

• The Service Line Director of Surgical Services leads strategic, growth, budgetary and operational objectives for the Surgical Services department. Functions as the head of the Surgical Services leadership team and is responsible for coordination of the entire health care team in the Surgical Services Department (operating room, pre-op, same day surgery, PACU, pain clinic, infusions, GI suite, pre-admission testing, and scheduling) for adult and pediatric patients. All About You:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a registered nurse degree and a current Colorado license. BSN or plan to achieve preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, preferably working in an acute care or surgical services setting; progressive previous management experience required; BLS required upon hire; ACLS or ENPC/PALS required within 9 months of hire and current thereafter.
• Encompasses a wide range of nursing, psycho-social and medical information which includes nursing process, communications and problem-solving, assessment and prioritizing skills.
