Job summary

Must have at least five years as a perioperative RN in PACU/pre-op and hold CA RN licensure; BSN/MSN preferred. Orientation, training, and leadership in a fast-paced hospital setting are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified by education and experience in perioperative patient care.
• At least five years' current perioperative RN experience in PACU/pre-operative area.
• Ability to develop perioperative treatment plans and provide pre- and post-operative care.
• Ability to direct, monitor and evaluate nursing care provided by staff.
• Charge RN or related management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the department’s daily operations and serve as a resource to staff on patient care, safety, and service delivery.
• Ensure staff orientation, training, and competency; enforce policies and procedures and take corrective action if needed.
• Support quality performance initiatives, regulatory compliance, and data collection/analysis.
• Assist with department budgeting, cost control, and Lean-based process improvements.
• Collaborate with Nursing Leadership Team and other departments to improve system efficiency.
