Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Perioperative Assistant to support the operating room team in delivering safe, efficient patient care. This role focuses on turnover, supply management, and collaboration with nurses and surgeons in a fast-paced surgical services environment.

Responsibilities include assisting in turnovers, ensuring par levels, and transporting patients or materials as directed. Prior surgical setting experience and BLS certification are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Requires vocational or technical training in a surgical setting or related experience.
• Demonstrates ability to support operating room turnover and patient transport.
• Strong communication and teamwork with the perioperative team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operating room and anesthesia room turnovers.
• Maintain supply par levels and assist with specimen drop-off and immediate supplies.
• Support safe patient transport and other delegated tasks with the OR team.
