Job summary

Arkansas Children’s Hospital is seeking a Manager Administrative Support to lead a team of 20 administrative staff within the Surgical Services section. You will oversee day-to-day administrative operations and collaborate with hospital leaders across departments to ensure smooth service delivery.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years of administrative/clerical experience and prior leadership experience (or ASPIRE completion).

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years administrative/clerical experience.
• Prior leadership experience required (or ASPIRE program completion for internal candidates).
• Experience with budget preparation and contract/expense oversight.

Responsibilities

• Oversees administrative functions for the surgical service.
• Prepares and maintains section budgets (annual, grants, contracts).
• Hires, trains, coordinates, and supervises administrative staff.
• Maintains contract billings, equipment purchases, and contract payments.
• Liaises with UAMS and AC departments and external offices.
• Supports faculty and fellow recruitment activities and residency rotations.
