Job summary

It requires setup of cases and adherence to aseptic technique and OSHA guidelines. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, hospital experience in surgical services preferred, and CST certification preferred with BLS required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; hospital experience preferred in surgical services.
• CST preferred; BLS required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on surgical procedures in all specialties in the Perioperative area.
• Set up assigned cases and maintain a sterile field.
• Count appropriate items with the circulating nurse during surgical cases.
• Care for instruments, supplies, sutures, needles, and basic equipment.
• Stock, clean, and inventory perioperative supplies and equipment.
